The Buffalo Bills Store could be on the move, but not very far from its current site.
As part of a $220 million renovation of Ralph Wilson Stadium, the Bills may shift the team store to a new plaza on the Abbott Road side of the stadium, sources said. Plans are preliminary and the Buffalo Bills declined comment.
The renovations are central to lease talks between the Buffalo Bills, Erie County and New York state. The lease expires in July 2013. Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz said he remains hopeful that a long-term pact can be negotiated and settled by year-end.
The stadium renovation team is led by Populous, formerly HOK Sport Venue Event. The Kansas City architectural firm has identified improvements for the 39-year-old stadium ranging from electrical upgrades to the Abbott Road plaza.
Anchored by the Bills Store, which could be up to 8,000 square feet, the plaza would be in a portion of the stadium parking lot that was for limousines and buses.
The current Bills Store, which is about 2,500 square feet, would become a TV and electronic media studio for broadcasts.
The Bills store could be ready by the 2013 NFL season.The store is run by Delaware North Cos. Sportservice which handles retail and concession sales for the Bills.

They should be pushing for a new stadium. What are they going to keep doing? Ask For $200 Million every 10 years, to make upgrades to the stadium? If that's the case they could build a stadium, and sign a 30 year lease with the county, that would state that if the state and county build a new stadium, they couldn't relocate for 30 years. Lets see, $220 million to renovate the Ralph or spend $500-600 million and bring in more revenue from ticket sales, maybe bring the Super Bowl, bring higher priced concerts that cant fit in FN center, bring luxury box sales, stadium naming rights, and most importantly a facility that players really want to play in.
