The saying that has applied to Qb's for years is holding true for the Bills WR and LB core. There is not a single starter across from Stevie, they are deciding between 6 guys, none of which can out do the other. This is NOT because they are all so great they should all be NFL starters, they should all be #4-5 guys with no hopes of being a #2 anywhere. I will give TJ a little benefit of the doubt, he is a rookie and appears ahead of the rest pure based on the fact that the DB can't stay with him.. the rest...sad.

What's worse than that? The LB core might look worse than last year when we watched 300lb + men trying to contain and catch running backs. Thus far the LB core looks awful, again with NO standouts and I mean NONE. Moats looked serviceable, Barnett was awful today and who else played besides Tank in the 4th quarter? It was that bad.

Also, if I have to watch Choice miss one more lane while White is on the bench, I may throw something through my TV. Cut his lousy @S's and get it over. Let guys that can play to an equally awful level have a shot at it, at least they are young enough to possibly improve. FWIW, White looks good this year

I agree. Cut Choice. I am also worried about our WR2 but I am comforted with the fact that more often than not Nelson will be the second read.

I expect Nelson to be number 2 in catches, followed by Chandler, but if there is nobody outside, it will be another long year.

I'd love to see TJ get the nod on the outside. I think he'll pass Jones by midseason.

Now I didn't catch the game, mostly because I'm overseas and don't get them where I am, but didn't DJ score the only TD on a nice RAC play? From what I've read and been following, he's been looking faster and stronger, and showing better hands of late. I'm not trying to be facesious I'm seriously questioning whether or not he's looked good lately.

He made a play that any NFL receiver should make. Was it exciting? Yes, finally saw points on the board. Outside of that he was pretty much invisible. Again, nothing there to show he is clearly ahead of anybody and there in lies the issue.

I thought Jones looked good last night. A great catch and run on the only ball i recall being thrown his way, and was also all over Stevies fumble immediatly....

As for choice...cut him...he simply looksbad.

Picky, picky, picky ... you're definitely NOT understanding how to play the game here. You need to jump on the "the Bills suck"

What, exactly, were any of the WRs supposed to "show" to prove anything to you? The Bills don't have a stable full of AJ Greens and Calvin Johnsons. We all know that, and the Bills aren't asking them to be guys like that. They are asking them to be competent NFL WRs. Both Nelson and Jones seem to be that. Graham looks to be one in the making. It would be nice to have a good partner for Stevie on the other side, but the Bills don't have that unless Nelson, Jones or Graham takes a big step forward this season. The problem is, however, that we fans aren't going to know that from watching a preseason game on TV.

You hit the point right there. The team simply has a complete lack of talent out there. It is obvious that Stevie is MILES ahead of the other guys on the field from the routes he runs, to the blocks he picks up, to the catches he makes and the confidence he brings out there with him. Now what do they need to do?

TJ Graham, Needs to run MUCH crisper routes, he is rounding everything off and not getting the separation he should without running in a strait line past people, while that speed is nice, you can be stopped by jamming at the line.

Jones, overall he looks solid, he makes some plays in the running game and did have a nice play across the middle. The nice thing is he will go across the middle, but the bad thing is, I can't remember the last time I saw him make a play outside of the numbers. For me to have more faith in him, I would like to see some plays outside the numbers and perhaps most importantly, to make a catch while he battles a defender, not just catching the ball and running around him.. What he scored on was a quick cross route where nobody was near him. Nice play indeed, but not a play that every single WR in the NFL would not have made given that route.

Nelson, he is who he is. He is an extremely reliable guy that will cause some issues in the middle of the field and I don't expect anything more than that, anything else is a bonus. If he was the 3rd or 4th WR option, I would love it. I have no qualms whatsoever with him, he's just not fast enough to be a factor outside.

Easly, He flat out looks lost.

Hagan, I hope the hard work in practice pays off, thus far it looks to be the same guy that can't hold a job on the field.

Aiken, its been nice, but the raw physical talent that had me hoping last year, yet again is just not translating to separation anywhere.

Roosy, I like what I see in him, but there is not much explosiveness, that's not essential, but he has to find a way to create more down field separation.

The key for all of the WRs is to find separation out there so there is a window for the QB to throw the ball to. If you can't get that, you don't have a use on the field. My biggest issue is that lack of ability that we have been seeing in that department. I have to believe Jones can use his strength to get off the line better and then use his speed to go past people, he has POTENTIAL to be ok. That said, you lose with potential and win with production. The remainder of the crew, with the exception of TJ who I think has a lot of polishing up to do, has looked less than average. If you are to be a potential starter for a team, it should be obvious that you are dominating 3rd string guys, we haven't even seen that much from the WRs.

Oh and don't get me started on what happens if Chandler goes down.

That run was a standout play. Yeah, the catch was something anyone should make, but what he did with it was excellent.

I'm not convinced he's an excellent player, but he does seem to have improved from last year. Maybe he's NFL average across from Stevie now. If so, that'll help.

I'll comment on Choice. They should cut him and White and make a waiver claim after cuts on someone who can actually hit a hole.
