I almost started the same thread when I read that but I realized I could be overanalyzing and should probably just wait and here. With that being said, it wouldn't surprise me at all if he doesn't make the final 53. What a waste of a 2nd rounder.

It could just as easily be a reference to his struggles with recuperating from his back surgery. I know Gailey has gone out of his way to praise his toughness and work ethic. Still, my choosing a player for message board adoption is usually the kiss of death. I hope not this time.

I thought earlier that it could be him going on IR meaning his "season" was over. I think this is a good idea. Spencer Johnson and Dwan Edwards are probably going to be on the 53 man roster this year and they are both in their last year on their contracts. Giving Troup this year to heal up, and next year he may be healthy enough to stick around
