Tyler Wilson: Because geno and Barkley will be gone
In Barkley We Trust!
Future Buffalo Bills 8th overall pick in the NFL draft
Tyler Wilson, because it makes perfect sense. Geno and Barkley will likely be gone. Wilson plays in the SEC. He has near prototypical measurements. Good Arm. Many say he is similar to Philip Rivers, who Buddy is familiar with from San Diego.
Its the perfect storm. I think there is a very good chance he becomes a Bill unless he rises or either Barkley or Smith fall down draft boards.
Like the first two said its probably going to be Tyler Wilson because of the other 2 will be gone or somehow we make a move up and grab our franchise QB, I honestly think if we cant get one of the 2 we should grab Manti Te'o if hes their and grab a qb in the 2nd like an EJ Manuel, just a thought of mine
Let the Doug Marrone and EJ Manuel ERA begin
Adopt A Bill 2013-2014- CJ Spiller
My guess is Wilson or Bray. I would welcome both for different reasons.
barkley is going to be a chief but i think the bills are going to have a top 5 pick or at least top 7 and if they want geno smith they may do a redskins trade like they did for RGIII
"Fight on, my men, Sir Andrew said -- A little I'm hurt but not yet slain. I'll just lie down and bleed awhile -- And I'll rise and fight again." marv levy
As many Manteo threads that are going around......guys as much as I believe he will be nothing but great in the NFL it is still no guarantee.....I want you to sit back and think about our QB situation for the past 13 years and take a moment.....no matter how great of a player on defense is available....we are at a point where we have to have a franchise QB and it will make the biggest difference on the team than any other position....we have ignored it for far too long and until we get what we need things will not change...please let the manteo thing go this year for a chance to grab a QB who can take us to the next level. Lets not rinse and repeat
knowing Nix, probably Philip Rivers, once the entire staff in San Diego gets nuked after this season
Goonies Never Say Die
2013 Adopt-a-Bill: Cordy "The Tank" Glenn
We won't be drafting high enough to even have Matt Barkley or Geno Smith as option.
We have to hope Tyler Wilson is available. Or, hope that Buddy moves up to make sure we can draft him.
If we whiff on Tyler Wilson, Mike Glennon would be a nice option late 1st or top of the 2nd round. Problem with Mike Glennon is he is not a mobile, Chan Gailey style QB.
EJ Manuel might be another top of the 2nd QB....I am not entirely sold on him though. But he is someone Chan may favor because of his mobility.
2014 Mock Draft
Draft a QB. Keep drafting QBs.
Fill the pipeline.
I think Wilson is going to be the guy they target barringg a trade up or huge reversal of fortunes in jacksonville and KC. He almost makes too much sense for Nix to get. Everything Nix looks for in a player AND plays in the SEC. Prototypical size good arm good personality nodeugs or dwis/duis. Not to mention potential to be a great QB in the NFL. If Wilson is goneI think we wait and grab one in the second round (as QBs stand right now at least)
Either Tyler Wilson or Aaron Murray (if he declares).
Smith and Barkley will be gone. Bray is way too raw. The rest of them stink.
Fwiw, I'm liking Ryan Nassib more and more every game. I don't think he's quite ready to be a franchise NFL QB. But he has a cannon for an arm, is extremely intelligent, a hard worker, and is performing better in clutch situations this season (so far). Could be a 2nd or 3rd rounder.
I think we should talk about teams worse then us and if they need a QB.
As it stands:
Kansas City - absolutely need a QB.
Carolina - they'll stick with Newton for at least another year.
Jacksonville - unless Gabbert makes huge strides in the next few games, they may be in the market.
Cleveland - probably sticking with Weeden unless they're convinced Barkley/Smith is their guy.
New Orleans - Brees, that is all.
NY Jets - Sanchez has a contract that they might not ditch, who knows.
St Louis - May stick with Bradford but it's a possible.
Washington - Griffin is their man.
Tennessee - Locker is probably the long term.
2 definites, 3-4 possibles.
In January when the regular season is over and we know where the Bills will be picking then I will be looking at the QBs that they could grab. But cannot say before then b.c I have no idea where we are, could be 5 could be 10 that is a big difference.
