Ralph Wilson can't get any quality coaches here because of his reputation in the league. Hell he couldn't get a quality GM after what Polian, John butler (Rest in Peace bud) and Tom Donahoe had to say about him after working for him. I mean ****, if one guy says it, thats one thing but this is THREE GM's that have been respected around the league.
I seriously don't think that Wilson has much input on the day-to-day operations at OBD. Maybe he used to, but I wouldn't think that he does anymore. Also, Wilson has allowed the team to spend money, especially in the last couple of seasons. In fact, Nix has stated that it was he who didn't want to go out spending money in FA his first couple of years, not Wilson. Finally, no matter what has happened in the past, I think Ralph is due some repect. I don't like the fact that this franchise is dangling in the wind because he won't announce the team's plans for after his passing (I don't blame him though because idk if I'd want to be talking about my passing if I were him either), but the guy is an original owner and has allowed so many of us to live, love and cry with the Bills for so many years.

So really, nix has made the right moves. It's only a matter of time before it all works out. Mario will be a good player here for a long time. He's coming off an injury, he's switching back to a 4-3, and wannstedt is subpar.

That's the real problem here. Bad coaching. Not a bad GM. Once he drafts our franchise QB this year, well be all set!

You've forgotten where he brought in Vince Young who was the FA QB that most people thought had the most potential. Most thought this was a good move. Unfortunately, it didn't work out...but he tried.

A team is measured in wins and losses, and we are worse than Jauron/Levy so far, and embarrassing in the division.

1.marshawn was a mess and you already had Fjackson and drafted the best overall player available in CJ
    2.hairston is playing and contributing
    3.Dave =no good agreed
4.Fitz is playing pretty good better than most qbs in the nfl this season...no he cannot throw long ball but hes 14th in the nfl in passes over 40yards so not to many other qbs are doing it either
5.thigpen sucks but hes a backup theres not too many good backups out there
6.tavaris move didnt make sense to me when you already had VY

LOL. Guess what? If bad coaching is the real problem, guess who's job that is to change that up? He's already come out and said he's not changing Chan, and Chan has already said he's not changing Dave. So how is that doing his job????? It would be like a failing trucking company getting a new owner to turn things around. He goes out and buys all new trucks, but refuses to get new drivers who have already proven they cannot do the job right. How is that going to change anything??

People wanted Fitz extended but didn't want him as a franchise QB. He was suppose to be a fill in until the franchise QB was ready. Ralph himself told fans he was sending Nix out to get one. Now years later after Ralph told us fans there is still no franchise QB and we are worst then before this staff arrived. Expect a lot of blackouts next season if no QB is drafted in rd 1 or 2. In fact fans have already given up this season because of the Fitz. The D will get better by the end of the season while Fitz fail will continue to just get worst.

Profoundly agree with this thread. The level of talent Nix has kept around, gone after, and brought in is exceptional compared to anything we've had in the last decade. We're the team that used to let guys like Williams and Clements and Winfield go. Now we're resigning out talent AND spending. It really wasn't that long ago we couldn't even sustain a drive because we had guys like Losman and Trent. Say what you will about Chan/Fitz, but our offense is competent. If we had someone even average for a defensive coach, we'd be competitive in every game.

Really folks, it's the waste of talent that has us all at wits end. We were 3-3 and people felt like the sky was falling, due to the expectations that were raised prior to the season starting, due to the personnel we brought in, due to our GM.

He may have done things people wanted, but the team still stinks. You are judged by your results on the field, and they are not good OP. There is no way anyone could say they are close to good. That means he has done a poor job, regardless of what people wanted or didn't want. Leave all of that aside.

He didn't listen to most fans that wanted a QB in fact he didn't even listen to the owner who told the fans Nix was getting us a franchise QB. The only one Nix was listening to is himself that a below average QB is good enough to win with even though he has failed for 3 seasons. With Nix its the Pits because of the Fitz.

How many teams win with a backup QB who already flamed out of 2 NFL cities? Buddy Nix signed 2 of those within 3 seasons.

Give me a break about the Mario excuses...he played 5 games at LB and got 5 sacks in those games. You sir are an idiot for making such a claim. Report me to the mods if you wish...but you're an idiot.

Bradham has not looked fantastic. He's looked good at times, but compared to the other LBs around him, see the movie "Hall Pass."

Glenn...well so far so good other than the QB you love so much hurting his ankle when he scrambled and fell on him.

Gilmore looks like a stud? Um, he's looked more lost than studly, but that's expected out of a rookie corner...and especially given the poor coaching he's getting.

Mario...when he actually looks like he gives a **** ...then I'll speak out him, but right now he's not worth talking about.
    ADOPT A BILL:
Cordy Glenn - let him play left tackle people. Geesh!

My expectations for our new coach are simple.
    1. Have the ability to locate decent stop gap players that are better players than the last ones who were on this roster for far too long.
    2. Win as many games as you can, but when you lose ... get beat, don't follow in the steps of your predecessors who seemed to try and find new and inventive ways to loose winnable games.

Looking from the outside. i dont know how anyone can defend nix, Facts are:
    2-12 in division games.
more blowout losses in his tenure than any time in the last 13 years.
inability to secure a franchise QB. That A. Williams over Dalton pick is looking real good.

Yeah, but besides those minor details he's a good GM and we are all hypocrites.

His continued fail at QB makes me want him gone, there is no end in sight. IMO Either move on from the Fitz or move out of Buffalo

Absolutely. He's made all the right logical moves. Sure, he hasn't gotten a franchise QB, but if the talent he got worked out on D, it wouldn't have mattered.

Misery loves company man LOL I look at this Buffalo Bills forum and it's like the media, if everything was all fine and dandy there would be nothing to talk about on a daily basis.
