Is this OBD attempt @ being proactive with their marketing? They realize this team will once again be on the outside of the playoff glass lookin' in, so is this their attempt @ trying to keep the ticket buyers engaged?

Or is Nix feeling the pressure? Are grumblings FINALLY spiraling down from the top that the patience with our current QB situation has reached it's threshold? Is he trying to sell himself to our next potential owner?

I mean....WE know we need another QB, this isn't exactly rocket science...but during the midway point of the season, I don't see other teams discussing their draft needs in the fashion that we suddenly have.

So....where's the pressure coming from?

as badly managed as this team has been, they seem to know when to do something to excite the fanbase -- even if it's just for half a year: Bledsoe, McGahee pick, Owens, Williams...

they can sense when fans are reaching a bad, bad place and then they say or do something to hoodwink us again for a while.

you have to admit, they've marketed turd like it was gold and we've bought it.

TBH while I DO think he is 100% serious about this, i think he is attempting to call out fitz right before a game in which they will need him at his best. Basically this is all he can do about the QB at this point. Fitz plays better with a chip on his shoulder. Why not go out and put one there right before what is probably the most important game of the season? Win this game and at 4-5 and 1-1 split with the patriots the playoffs remain a possibility, especially going into the easier portion of the schedule with some confidence. Lose this game you are 3-6 and 0-3 in the division going into another division game with zero confidence on a 3 game losing streak. Even if thisteam squeeks into the playoffs and loses in the first round it shows that buddy is dragging this team in theright direction. If fitz goes belly up then it still gets buddy some fan approval and possibly saves his job with the knowlege that he is going to attempt to get a qb in tbe draft. That being said, if he doesnt i could see him getting fired the day after the draft.
