It is depressing knowing that they could have went out and hired guys like mike nolan, todd bowels or any other accomplished dc but like usual they stayed in-house and promoted from within. They would rather work with someone they are comfortable working than someone that will make them good.
The offense helped out lots in giving the Jets those points if you remember. If you look at all of our games you can see the offense either created many turnovers which ****s a defense or didn't complete any 3rd downs which again kills a defense.
Trust me the offense does their part in killing the defense stats.
You and others keep asking questions you ought to know the answers to. It'd be funny if it weren't kinda pitiful.
1) They converted to a new defensive system before the season, and they've got a bunch of guys who weren't on the roster before, a bunch of rookies and second year men. They were always going to start slow this year. Everyone should have known that. Expectations were irrational.
2) We're weak at LB. That'll happen. In the third year of a rebuild where you didn't get but one top eight draft pick, you're going to have holes on the roster. More so when you draft for a 3-4 system and then switch out of it after the second year.
3) Nine games into a new system is too early to know how good you'll be. We might improve a bunch in the last seven games. Or not. If we don't, it'll be time to start asking questions.
4) A team whose offense ranks second in the NFL in giveaways is always going to look worse on defense than they really are. 21 giveaways in nine games. Horrific.

Essentially last isn't last. How is the Saints guy still in when they are the worst in league history right now. Like 500 yards a game!
Nah, Fitz is what the stats show he is. Significantly below average. Third or fourth worst in the league in INT percentage, 25th in the league in YPA. Those are the two most important stats. He's average in completion percentage and QB rating, but those, though probably the 3rd and 4th most important stats for evaluating QBs, are consdierably less important than YPA and INT percentage.
The difference is that Fitz has been in the same system for three years now. The defense has been in their system for nine games.
Wanny has put in a brand new system... he was always going to get this season to impliment it, IMO.
Next season, with no improvement... may be a different story.
Hopelessly devastated Bills fan.
