You missed the opening TD.........75,000 other people didnt.
I was there.. In his defense it took forever to get in. I was running late so I knew id be lucky to see the opening kick. I got to the gate at 745 and didnt get into my seat until the Dolphins 2nd possession. And no way 75,000 saw the punt return.

    1. The stadium doesnt hold that many
    2. Thousands of people were crammed at each gate waiting to get in

However, I will openly admit it was my own dumbass fault for not just walking around to another gate
This happened to me at the Monday night Cleveland game and I never once even thought to blame the Bills Organization for my wait time. I chose to wait too long to go in. Now, we leave our car at about an hour before kick off. Walk slowly with a couple beers in hand. Finish said beers before entering the gate. Haven't had any significant wait at the gate since that Cleveland game. When all is said and done, we only wait inside for about 15 minutes before kickoff.

Ive had season tickets before, my man.........and ive never missed one minute.
And this is even during the 90s Bills playoff runs. Those games were packed to complete capacity.

How badly do you want to see the games.........thats right, yer gonna make an effort to get inside at a reasonable time.........am i wrong.
    Can you dig it.

I walked to gate 1 cause that's where my seats the closest, saw it probably had a 30 min wait, walked to gate 2 and got in in under 1 min. Did you not even look at other gates? We walked up at around 745. Getting in is so much quicker with the scan instead of the boy girl pat down lines.

Walked right in too. But, got to gate at 7:30...if everyone listened to the rules, had cell phones and keys out, lines would go faster....

For an NFL game, I want to be at the gate 60-90 minutes before kickoff (for an NBA game 30-60 minutes before tipoff)...that way you can account for traffic, security, and getting to your seat with no problem. I usually have plenty of time to eat before the game starts too. The majority likes to cram into the gates 15 minutes prior to game time which puts a strain on lines. It's all about time management.

While we are talking time management. I went to a vendor near my seat, waited in line for half an hour ( in the third quarter, not halftime) to get hot chocolate...When I got there, I was told they were out...I asked the guy why didn't he just put a sign up stating all out of hot cocoa on a cold night, so people wouldn't wait there. He just shrugged....

This is typical of people blaming everyone else instead of just getting their *** where they need to be on time.
I was on Gate 8 took me forever, couldnt get there any fast because i had basketball and a hour and 15 minute drive in from rochester. i made it for kickoff tho

Most of the people working those things are volunteers/organizations working with the Bills. They get bombarded, you can't really hold it against them.

People will complain about anything. I've been to playoff games, nationally televised games, from all sports. Whether it's the NFL, NBA, NHL, MLB and I've never had a problem. The people that get in late are the ones that wait until the last moment. I see a lot of people say in this thread they got in at 7:45 to 7:50 and got in no problems. That must have meant you got in after 8. That is 30 minutes prior to kickoff. It's typical for an American. Nobody likes to be early. Whether it's for an appointment, a sporting event, or work. It just KILLS you to be there early.

Thank god the Military has taught me to show up 30 minutes early for EVERYTHING. That means I would be there 1 hour prior to kickoff. It's not going to kill you to get your drinks/food early and watch the pregame warm ups.

Not holding it against him.....I just think when they update the Ralph, they need a food court type of area...perhaps automated crawlers when sold out of food or drinks...more help to speed up the service. So many people were complaining.....

Reading through the responses on this thread was pretty humorous because at least ten people repeated the warning "they told you to get there at least an hour early!" However, didn't the OP say he waited for over an hour??? So he very well could of been in line at 7:30. I don't know why they couldn't at least make announcements to tell people which gates don't have a big crowd.

The gates don't open until 1 hour prior to kickoff. I think he's exaggerating. There are people in this thread saying they didn't have a line walking in at 7:50. That is 40 minutes prior to kickoff. The TD didn't happen till about 15 real time minutes after the kickoff. It just doesn't add up.

The gates actually open 90 minutes before kickoff now. Which, based on the Stated kickoff time of 8:20 would have been 10 minutes to seven. The kickoff was also delayed till about 8:30 which gave fans an additional 10 minutes to get in their seats over and above what tine they normally have. If you and/or your party can't get through security and get to your seats in time, you clearly have a time=management problem.
FYI my wife and I take our 4 young children to the earlier games and have never missed a play because it took to long getting through security beforehand.

Rookies... gotta plan ahead ppl also make sure to go enter middle of line so 10 Lanes aren't mergIng. If u enter lines 30min before u will beat traffic. 20min before too risky it exponentially takes longer and longer
