Its still a perfect storm. The teams that need losses all play each other. Pitts plays Chargers and Cinci and the Browns. All those teams need losses but Pitts needs to either lose 2 more games, after today, or beat one of the teams that needs a loss. The sooner, the better because Ben isnt going to be out all season. Once Ben comes back, its likely Pitts will win out from that point. I dont forsee Cinci winning out however... Outside of Pitts, The Chargers have Jets, Panthers and the Raiders. Those are all likely wins for them.
So we kinda need Pitts to beat the Chargers or the they will probably sneak in the back door and steal the last spot, even if we win out. I dont think Pitts is going to lose to the browns. That means Pitts has to lose to Cinci because we need them to beat the Chargers. Now what does that say for Cinci? In this senario... Cinci has to beat Pitts. They would have to lose to the Cowboys/Ravens. I doubt they lose to Philly.
It sounds all complicated like that. Maybe Im wrong but I think because its sounds complicated like that.... its because the Bills need a **** mirical to make the playoffs. This is all moot, if Buffalo lose 1 single game.
Remember, if you want to theorize the Bills can still make the playoffs with a 9-7 or 8-8 record, fine you're right, mathematically speaking we can, but then so can Pitt, Cinn, Mia, NY, SD, and even Cleveland. With only spot left, I'm not sure how any can surmise our Bills will magically win out or go 4-1, and then also magically beat out all these other teams with similar records, sure we own the tiebreakers vs Cle and Mia but that no longer counts if there are multiple ties which at 9-7 maybe it's one or two teams tied, but at 8-8 it could be a plethora - lol
But yes those still chasing this dream will naturally root for Steelers, Bengals, and Chargers losses tonight
jc
Cincy winning today wouldn't be all THAT bad. Dallas can very well beat them, and so can Pittsburgh and Baltimore.

Okay so lets circle back and see if everyone is in agreement, under the assumption current results hold (PIT loses, CIB loses)
Cincy sched (currently 6-6, 4-6 AFC)
DAL

@ Pit
BAL
Need a loss to anyone
Pit sched (currently 6-6, 3-6 against the AFC)
SD

CIB
CLE
Need a loss to anyone
SD (5-7, 5-4 vs AFC)
@ Pit
CAR
@ NYJ
OAK
Need a loss to anyone
Almost. The Pittsburgh one. A loss to anyone will not work. We need them to lose to another AFC team. We are tied with Pitt in conference record and record against common opponents. The next tie breaker is strength of victory. It's easy to say Pitt has us. So, we need to beat them in the first tie breaker, which is conference record.

Just blew the whole ****ing season! By letting Cin take the lead. Thanks Chargers, mother****er!
Win out
Steelers drop 2 more
Bengals drop 2 more
Plausible at best
As others have pointed out, Cincy can win and we are still more or less fine.
If the Ravens can't take out a Steelers team lead by Charlie ****ing Batch... that is another matter all together.
