That's where Chan's blind loyalty to Fitzpatrick shines through and just slays me. Another perfect example would be after a few losses this year in which Fitzpatrick played absolutely terrible, and when asked about it after the game, Gailey simply replied, "Quarterback wasn't the problem...", when it SO clearly was.

I don't know. Not that my opinion truly matters in the grand scheme of things, but I wouldn't be opposed to Gailey coming back for the 2013 season if he actually had an accurate QB. Yeah, Chan needs to wake up and start feeding CJ the ball A LOT more, but he also needs a QB who isn't just going to play two or three good games a year based on the matchups he sees on defense. J.P. Losman was a perfect example of that: he was always spewing the "take what the defense gives you" line, and he did, and it got him nothing but three-and-outs and losses. Gailey needs a QB who WON'T take what the defense gives him, but rather will force the defense to actually react TO him.
You win as a team you lose as a team, its that simple.

Could have, would have, should have...but DID NOT happen. I love these quotes on these boards. Winning these games could have shown character. Would have been in the playoffs if we won. Should have made better decisions.

My statements at the beginning of the season were "hoping for 10-6, expecting 9-7, wouldn't settle for anything under .500" I did realize early in the season, it just aint gonna happen this year.

I'll stick it out for another season like i always do though

As much as I want Gailey gone I would say 8-8 would be an improvement. Jauron went 7-9 3 years with less so Gailey should be held with higher expectations.
