Anderson, Wood not practicing

Only two non-participants in practice here on Thursday. Eric Wood and Mark Anderson are not going. Both have been ruled out for Sunday’s game.

Do we change our draft to get Barrett Jones, C, Alabama in the first round? Wood is a very high caliber Center but he cant stay healthy. If we draft Jones it will be an upgrade at an extremely important position and it will bring stability to an injury prone Offensive line. We still have Woods for 1 more year under contract and my thought it we can parlay that into a trade with San Francisco for Alex Smith. It looks like Kaepernick is there new Franchise QB and keeping Smith will only cause QB contraversy next year. I cant see Harbough letting that happen so IMO we could offer the 49's Eric Wood & Chris Kelsay plus a 3rd round draft pick in 2014 for Alex Smith. Then we could wait for the 2014 draft to get our franchise QB.

No offense, I would hate that scenario. I would prefer signing a Jeff Faine to a one or 2 year deal as depth behind Wood.

I thought San Francisco had him under contract. I didnt know he was a FA.
