Interesting statitic...

I'm not one to put too much stock in long term trends, because coaches and players come and go. Given the extremely physical style of defense SF puts on the field, and their power run game, could this stat be due to the Rams being physically drained from the playing SF the week prior, or is it just pure coincidence?

I know there are variables that factor in, like "Did the Rams lose players to injury VS SF?", or "How tough is the following opponent?". I don't have the time or resources to check, but if the Bills losing 15 in a row to the *Pats is a credible "trend", then this shouldn't be considered much different, even though there are different circumstances.

Does this make you any more confident about Sunday's game?

Somehow, the main point of this thread was deleted from the OP...ooops.

The stat is that the Rams have lost the game after playing the 49ers 10 straight times (over 5 years).

Well, thats certainly interesting. Not sure if it shows anything truly measurable, since there are too many changing variables over 10 years time (especially with the rams).

If ever you wanted to put an end to streak like that one, the best way to do so is to play the Bills.

Before the injuries to the Oline piled up, I would have thought that the Bills could win this game. Now, post-injuries to the starting Center and the Starting RT (and 2nd string RT), and having to use practice squad level players, I just cant see it.

The Rams strength is their defensive line, I dont see how that match-up alone (Bills patchwork O-line vs. Rams D-line) doesnt shift the game into the Rams favor. Even on the road, in projected inclement weather.

Pretty simple.

They get up for an important divisional game, then can't match the intensity the following week against a non-divisional opponent.

Here's my favorite stat...

When Ryan Fitzpatrick has fewer than 30 pass attempts in a game in his career with the Bills, Buffalo is an impressive 15-7. When Fitz attempts 30 passes or more in a game Buffalo is 5-22.
