Interesting statitic...
I'm not one to put too much stock in long term trends, because coaches and players come and go. Given the extremely physical style of defense SF puts on the field, and their power run game, could this stat be due to the Rams being physically drained from the playing SF the week prior, or is it just pure coincidence?
I know there are variables that factor in, like "Did the Rams lose players to injury VS SF?", or "How tough is the following opponent?". I don't have the time or resources to check, but if the Bills losing 15 in a row to the *Pats is a credible "trend", then this shouldn't be considered much different, even though there are different circumstances.
Does this make you any more confident about Sunday's game?
