You recognize the inequities of change driven by love of wealth, and then conclude.... confusingly..... that the home and the heart should be flushed away with the movements of capital? Pursuit of money can harm, so let's pursue money in ignorance of all other values...

I've spent some time in Naples, stayed at the Edgewater Beach Hotel. And just like Buffalo, it's got some affluent areas, but plenty of poverty too. You see what you want to see.

I usually go to the home opener, so I've been around. I grew up between Otto's / Captain's cove by the airport so I have more than an idea on how it has looked. I guess if you count "Your Host" restaurant's drapes gone, then it's vastly different. Airport lanes / Pizza still looks the same, so does the local housing.

The average median income here buys you a Buffalo home every 1.5 years, so I'd safely say that it's pretty limited. They call Golden Gate Naples as well but it's well east of town.

Stadium that's crippled by age & any reasonable amenities equal to a row house ready for tomato pickers in South Florida. Check.

Town that lost it's luster 30 + years ago & expanded most social services / bus routes into most major suburbs. Check.

Socialist state of politics that pays most of it's money for previous corruptions allowed by the entitlement systems. Check.

I'd safely say when the Bills get sold to the highest bidder, the proud remnants of our past will explain through excuses how they tried to make all of it happened but they couldn't succeed over outside forces of wealth attributed to simple economics. The town is gone, most of what's left is people trapped by tradition or their own selfish entitlements that they're unable to give up.

Please land at the Buffalo airport & drive in any direction for 10 minutes, it's a time-warp circa 1972 at best. I'd blend it with a bad trailor park & an alcohol addiction, minus money outside of federal support to pay for it.
Ahahahaha this is so dumb its hilarious. **** entitled socalists ruining the Buffalo Bills! This is exactly what CHE wanted to happen all those years ago!

So basically, you're splitting hairs by not counting suburbs in Naples that are bad or suburbs in Buffalo that are good. We all know there is no wealth within Buffalo proper; there is plenty in the suburbs. But you're going to stick to housing next door to an airport. Name me an airport with really nice neighborhood next to it? Who wants to live next to an airport?

Would you count Lancaster / Clarence / Amherst / West Seneca all of the city of Buffalo ? Try mailing a letter with a zip code from there & put Buffalo NY in there. It'll get there but I wouldn't say those are the city of Buffalo.

If I was really splitting hairs, I'd say just use port royal as an example. The folks there spend $6 Million on an average home, which basically buys my neighborhood growing up.

Anything west of I-75 to the beach is Naples FL.

When you're talking about ANY city, you include the suburbs. That's a no-brainer. In MOST cities, the wealthy people live outside the City limits.

Did I say "all", or did I say MOST? You pick 2 of the perhaps 3 cities in the whole country where the wealthy live in the city proper (Chicago too). Congratulations. You are just wrong. Grow up.
