Can you imagine the BBMB posters selecting players and a coach. LOL, every year we would have a new coach, GM and QB, we would draft the Notre Dame QB every other year

I think his heart was in the right place.

    Worst idea ever.

Besides, you are merely a consumer. If you don't like the product, vote with your dollars. This IS America, and this is Capitalism.

Ralph Wilson, as a business owner, can do whatever he wants in terms of who he hires and fires. If there are more fans willing to pay him money than there are people who think like you, then there isn't much you can do about that.

The Green Bay Packers are the only team who it would make some level of (misguided) sense to run a model like this, but of course the league would never allow that to happen.

We should really keep politics out of the General Bills forum.... it can be depressing to see how fellow fans think about things.

It would not make any sense to run the Packer franchise via referendum any more than it would to run the Bills that way. I believe the vast majority of Green Bay fans feel that way and are content to have things done via a board of directors. It would be interesting to hear the bellyaching and posturing at the Board of Director meetings if Green Bay return to the dark ages like they were in during the 1970's and 1980's.

They sale snippets of ownership to their fans (publicly owned, currently 112,158 stakeholders), it would make sense that those who own those snippets (i.e. partial owners) have a vote in the operations of the franchise.

Bills fans are just mooks on couches. Why should they get any say in how anything is run?

It would never work .. Judging from this board, there would be 1 vote for 40,000 different candidates .
Keep the faith and don't forget to flush .

The only real alternative is for the next owner of the Bills to be a true fan and lover of the game who is wealthy enough to be relatively unconcerned with ROI and willing to invest heavily in putting a winner on the field. If that happens, we'll see a clean sweep of the executives and upper management as well as the football department, THEN we'll see what a real NFL operation looks like in Buffalo.

Thank you! A Democratic Republic to be more exact, further more it has always employed from its very start socialistic policies to grow the country, i.e., all road systems, education, police, fire depts, clean water and sewer systems, voting systems, etc etc. Most Americans have no working idea of what sort of government their country uses let alone how it works.

I said ONLY SEASON TICKET HOLDERS GET A VOTE! Won't don't you understand about that. This board is overwhelmingly accessed by young football fans who aren't as knowledgeable as seasoned ST holders.

Besides that, why is everybody making it seem like I'm saying the US government should mandate this? I think the owner himself should enact this to keep fans happy since he's done a TERRIBLE job keeping us happy his way. This was all just hypothetical as Ralph couldn't possibly live long enough for this type of policy to last any decent amount of time but it was just an idea. I think the fans would do much better than people think.

Most people vote in presidential elections cause they feel it's there duty. THE MAJORITY of them don't know much about politics or care to learn. Football fans are different! We are passionate about the game and sadly enough, we care more about who is the Bills HC than who is the POTUS! Fans would take time out to do their due diligence to make their vote a quality one.

Like I said, post a poll that gets you a decent number of hits and you'll see that EVEN ON THIS INSANE MESSAGE BOARD sanity wins out. When people were calling for Mario Williams to be cut, a poll would have showed an OVERWHELMING NO! If we posted a poll right now (which I think I'll do) to ask if Buddy Nix should be retained, I guarantee that the vote will come out in favor for "Yes, if he replaces Gailey" which would also be the sentiment of the majority of the greatest football minds out there if polled.

    OPEN YOUR MINDS GUYS!!!
The Bills are THE ONLY TEAM IN NFL HISTORY to bench a healthy starting quarterback to open the playoffs!

I was just keeping it simple LOL. But considering who won the presidency... and the general *** hatery on this board, I am going to go ahead and let the pros do their job. Not to mention taking over a privately owned business is just borderline communism.

    What's American anymore?

Its not taking over, its choosing two positions. They get to pick the candidates. I bet if this process were in place in 2000 we'd have made the playoffs by now!

Your heart is in the right place.....but seriously, it would never happen. Sounds good to some on paper.
