Seems to me that if they're going to relocate, now or in the future, then that's what they're going to do. A few people starting threads 7 years in advance of said hypothetical move won't dissuade them.

You are reading too much into this, as most brainless people do.
If you think LA waits 7 yrs for a franchise you are wrong.
And anyone with half a brain knows that Buffalo IS NOT MOVING TO LOS ANGELES.
If any team does it will be San Diego or Oakland. Small shot at JAX.
Please look at all the leases in the league and fear longer how at the end of those leases those teams are moving.

Whats with moving to LA. Think, think about it. How can that happen with the leagues present division structure. LA has already its 4 team structure. More logically Toronto or somewhere in the Northern hemisphere for the AFCE.

Let me preface this by saying that I'm as close to not caring if the Bills leave as I've ever been. 4-5 years ago I would've thought my life would end. Now, not so much. I'm not convinced that this organization has the ability to produce a winner.

So, this lease agreement is such a sham. Designed to get simple minded people all excited "Woo the Bills are going to STAY!!!" ...for 7 more years.

Why bother putting the 7 year clause in, if they don't intend on using it? It'll be a year or two before Ralph croaks, and so here is the timeline:

2 years from now - Ralph dies and/or sells team
4 years from now - New owner gets wheels spinning on Los Angeles.
5 years from now - LA stadium starts being built, Bills become obvious lame duck franchise, so nobody will go anymore. Everyone from the outside will see empty stadium, etc, and be like "Oh wow they need to move" Every grape will be sour.
7 years from now - Los Angeles Bills kick off their inaugural season.

Enjoy your loser team for the next few years. This lease just tells me they're leaving in 7 years.

They will NOT have 4 teams in California. One of Oakland or SD will move to LA.

yep and that's what the 7 year out is. If a new stadium isn't built by year 7, RW and his heirs will have no hesitation to sell the team. They basically are giving the state and the city 7 years to get them a new stadium. I'm fine with this. We need a new one, we can fix the Ralph up for a few years, but it will take 2 years for stadium study, 2 years for all the negative politicans to fight it and another 2 years to build it....year 7, they can leave. That's what I'm taking out of it. I'm happy for now though.
