Overall I think a loss would be more long-term beneficial. But for once late in the season I wouldn't mind a win. This team really does need to show a little bit of pride. And the defense is playing much much better than the offense since the bye week.

I want no glimmer of hope for Gailey, nothing for the FO to convince themselves to think he deserve another reprieve.

Winning this meaningless game means nothing to morale or pride.

Our Coach and QB are who they are and have no upside.

Winning this meaningless game doesn't carry over to next year.

Higher pick =/= Guaranteed Franchise QB (or whomever you are dreaming of to be our savior.....)
If they lose they get a higher draft pick...

If they win they get a lower draft pick...

Pretty simple to see what is gained with a loss as opposed to the mythical crap that you think will be gained. After all, those late season wins under Dick Jauron certainly proved to be the difference the following year didn't they???

Winning won't change anything except Chan will be gone.. i believe the team will fire him no matter what.

As long as Gailey and Fitz are gone before 2013 I'm good...

    However I wouldn't mind picking 4th though...
Agreed....bragging rights for a meaningless game? This is the 1rst meaningless game the Jets have had in years. I doubt beating them now is "sticking it to them". We blundered that opportunity in the season opener.

People claiming we're gonna make moves in the draft regardless, why give up picks to select somebody when you don't have to? A higher draft position makes this team look more attractive to head coaches, not the fact that they beat the Jets to go 6-10 instead of 5-11.

You would have thought that most of the people on here would have learned by now......rooting for this team to win in it's current state, leads to disappointment more times than not. The proof is in the record. I prdicted a 4 game skid to end the season & we're almost there.

    5-11 here we come.

can some of you honestly say, you can watch the Bills on Sunday and root for them to lose? Really?? I can understand not really caring if they won or lost but to root for them to lose seems unacceptable to me

That's just nonsense. I don't know what else to say. Nonsense.

    Of course it does.

I understand people wanting the draft pick more, but a win would absolutely mean a lot to the pride of this group. Who knows, it could even weigh on the minds of Byrd or Levitre and give them more motivation to return. I don't say it will, but it could.

I hope the jets arent the smarter team and tanks the game, giving the bills false hope in winning a meaningless game

Only matters if you can take advantage of said higher pick...last time we picked 4th it worked out how?

Well, FTR we'd only pick 4th if not only we won but the underdog host Lions and the underdog visiitng Eagles defeated the Bears and Giants, respectively (and yeah, like I said neither are favored to). But we're at least locked into 6th and it's very conceivable that one or both Detroit or Philadelphia find a way to defeat some near-equally fading teams (I'd say there's about a 50% chance that either the Lions beat the Bears or the Eagles beat the Giants; both Chicago and New York have lost 5 of 7).

So anyway, the whole 'Last time we drafted 4th we blew it on Mike Williams' argument probably won't come to fruition... even though obviously the higher draft pick we get the better.

I hope they improve their draft position but as I watch the game I will root to the bitter end that they win. When they lose I will take solace in the improved draft position.

Since the year 2000, the Bills are 3-9 in week 17.

Losing doesnt begat winning. Wins breed winners.
