His first move will be to resign Bruce Andre and Thurman. Jimbo is ready to step back under center. Biscuit and Talley will replenish the LB core. Christie can still make 50 yarder all day long.

    Man, we're gonna be great!!!

What's with the Polian obsession? He hasn't been very good for the last number of years, haven't we had enough of old-timers trying to re-create the 1990s?

Well, I guess when you've only been good for 1/4 of your existence, people will do anything to recreate that place and time.

Polian left Buffalo before he should have.

That being said, I don't want him back. I would prefer a young guy who can relate to the players and hire an up and coming coordinator for HC. Start fresh with both jobs.

Polian just wants to get his son Chris a job. That didn't work in Indy.

    Move on.

20 years ago. the "hate" stems from the fact that A) hes almost as old as Nix who everybody says is too old to be relevant anymore. B)his last couple drafts in Indianapolis were pretty horrid, luckily he still had Peyton Manning to cover up alot of his mistakes.

Over the last year I have heard Bill Polian on NFL Radio / Sirrius Radio many times. He is still very articulate about the draft, salary cap, college prospects and current NFL rosters.

He sounds like he has a lot to offer in terms of advise and counsel to a team that has floundered for the last 13 years. Maybe he is not young enough to be the full time GM, but his knowledge should be tapped into.

I agree he could be a useful resource. However, again, as far as I know, he is a package deal with his son. Bill would be the President and Chris would be the GM. Unless he changes that demand, I dont know if he would accept a job as a consultant or anything

Doesn't Polian want to bring his son with him wherever he goes?

Yup, be was shown the door. My point is he was good at that time for this team. Now, I want a young, aggressive guy as our next GM not some dude playing on ESPN for the last few years.

That's debatable. Lou Saban has a claim to that IMO. Also I think Marv had a top notch roster and he really only did it for the Bills. Polian turned three teams from the dumps to the playoffs with a Super Bowl and three other appearances. Also he turned an expansion into a playoff contender in the fastest time in history.
