    Three things I want:

    1) Is he a high level college QB?

    2) Can he throw an accurate long ball?

    3) Is he teachable?

Those 3 and I want him in Buffalo...he already would have 2 more than the current occupant.

He might not be ready to start in the NFL today, but he has NFL tools, size, arm, poise and smarts. The right coaches could make him special. I watched Nick Foles extensively before he was drafted, and Glennon is light years ahead. Will we ever have the coaches to properly develop a blue chip prospect? I'm not holding my breath.

See that's why I wouldn't mind taking him as a project in a later round. He could wind up being a solid NFL QB but I just don't see anything near to that at this moment. I would feel a lot better taking someone like Tyler Bray in the 3rd who has an unbelievable upside with a lot of people bashing his off the field antics when I know for a fact (living in and being a die-hard Tennessee fan) that people should not be as concerned as they are. He is a competitor that is really a team guy. What most people overlook is how bad our coaching staff and defense has been when he played at UT. He broke a number of school records including a few set by Peyton manning and the dominant offenses he lead back in the 90's during our glory years.

Someone will draft him round 2 the latest but I am guessing with the way qbs are getting pushed up with the new rookie scale he gets drafted in the first. Honestly, I wouldn't mind drafting him or many of the qbs. Just because they don't have the big name doesn't mean they can't be a good pro qb.

we are sorely lacking in leadership and it doesn't always have to come from the QB. I think our debate will be about reaching for a QB versus taking a sure thing at another position of need

    completely agree. Glennon is nothing.

we need D in the 1st and maybe get a new QB through FA. there seem to be options

I am so sick of the scrap pile free agent poopoo qb love. We absolutely need to draft a rookie qb.

It's no monster debate for me, it should be QB or bust... Te'o is great if we had a QB but we will be getting rid of Fitz most likely leaving us with who exactly? How many games has Kuechly won for the Panthers? Sorry it's time to finally get a true franchise QB, they just need to find out who they believe that guy is in round 1.

Ok i agree buuuuuut....problem is there doesnt seem to be that "franchise guy" in this years draft. So i say get best d-man possible and go after a guy like Matt Flynn.

We need Te'o as much as we need a QB, because our defense has no QB and thats what Te'o can bring along with his intense play.

There are NO Qbs who are so obviously on the top of their class like Te'o is with linebackers, and our piss pour D has talent at every spot except LB. It should be a no brainer.

It should also be a no brainer that we should pull a Cleveland and trade back into the low 1st for our QB (likely Ryan Nassib).

I am not saying this to be a homer, but there is one good QB in this years draft and it is Geno, he has ALL the tools, size, arm, accuracy, speed, coach able.

Barkley? Most overrated prospect I have ever seen

Glennon? Who the heck is this guy? Sounds like Blaine Gabbert part 2, coming out of nowhere with random Mel Kiper hype.

Everyone else? Lottery tickets which is par for the course in QBs taken outside of the first round.

what everyone doesn't seem to realize about gabbert is he threw 16 tds and 9 ints in a freakin spread in college! i have no idea how he moved up in the draft. he was on a good team too, so that couldn't have been the excuse. it still boggles my mind....

at least with glennon i see better production and dysert even has better production wiht potentially the worst WR core in all of FBS

A rookie QB is only as good as the defense that lets them cover up their mistakes.
