The OP is correct! Get yourself a GOOD starting QB any way that you can. Either thru the Draft or Free Agency or your are DOOMED to failure.
So...........name your guy? Impossible without knowing what happens ahead of Draft Day, or ahead of the Bills Draft Pick. I would be more than happy getting Alex Smith in a trade, and if so, you the draft need is much less pressing....but...if the 49ers do not want to make that trade, then see who is sitting there when the Bills pick in the early 1st Round and take the best kid still on the sofa. ANY of these kids will be better then Fitz and his epic late-game failures.
Now....when you get the QB, coach him up and PUT HIM ON THE FIELD, not on the sideline holding a clip-board.
It really depends where we pick I think...If we are high enough and you have a guy like M Te'o on the board we have a tough desicion to make...remember our defense SUCKS! I could see us go D in the first and QB in the second or a trade up back to the bottom of the 1st for a QB. I also see us taking 2 QBs in the draft, one early and a long shot guy later. Remember, Miami has a solid defense, so it make it easier to roll with a rookie QB. We don't have the luxury of one side being top 10...our O and D are bad.

He stated that the Bills had not spent a high first round pick on a QB since Kelly left. He is stating that no matter what the Bills need to Draft a QB at the top of the draft and that is not correct. The Bills could be picking as high as 4th with at least 2 teams before them needing a QB. Should we just automatically take the 3rd rated QB just to satisfy the desire to draft a QB 1st. I don't think so - that is how you end up with Blaine Gabbert or Tannehill.

Heck they even picked up a very high 1st round pick this offseason in Young - trying to find a QB. The fact is they have failed and it is time to see if someone else can find that elusive QB.
