I'll need at least 1 link on the 2014 claim... I've seen plenty of links that say 2015.
This is the instant in time that the Bills have learned to win

$25M was not the contract total... $39.3M is correct.

Yeah it is.. There is an escalator in there that could bump it up.

Base is 5 years for 25 million

Here's a report that says 5 year $37.5M. But it's a dated article from 2010... Rotoworld (6 year $39.3M) tends to have the most up to date info.

Choose what you want to believe... They're both out there. I believe rotoworld info is true. Sptrac is not reputable.

I remember the reporting at the time and it was generally thought to be 5 years.

Perhaps its one of those situations where there is a '6th' year, but the terms are so onerous (i.e. expensive) that no one thinks it will ever be seen.

    Another link showing 6 years ... http://nyjetscap.com/Bills/Spiller,%20C.J..php
The Buffalo Bills drafted RB CJ Spiller in the first round of the 2010 NFL Draft. Spiller signed a 6 year contract worth a potential $39.3 million dollars with $19.5 million in guarantees. Spiller received a $2 million signing bonus and $9.17 million option bonus. Base salaries are $320,000(2010), $450,000(2011), $852,917(2012), $1,300,834(2013), $1,748,750(2014), and $2,196,663(2015).
Keep in mind, tho, that there may very well be 'easy' to attain milestones allowing him to void contract years and hit FA. This is usually where confusion arises in talking about multi-year contracts.
justRN: "They carted off Freddies ACL after he ripped it out for being weak."

Mark Asper: "He'd come smashing in there and make a big play and he has no emotion. He just goes back to the defensive huddle, and we had to trash talk for him. Our big line was 'Kiko Smash.' "#TheLegendOfKikoAlonzo
