Stevie was a steal for 7 million a year, he wasn't 9 million. Laurent robinson has a larger yearly salary than stevie does, to put it in comparison...

He isn't remotely a $9 mill player. A top two guard might get that. Levitre's a top ten guard.

If he's lucky he might reach $7 mill, but the $6 range is far more likely.

Levitre should be re-signed at a slightly above average salary for an OG. What's that - maybe 3 or 4M per year ? More than that and he's not worth it.
10th is $5.8 mill per year.

5.5 mil for 5 years. Plus a signing of some sort, of course. He has been reliable, he has started many positions for us. So he does have value. But much more than that, he can walk. But the girl has too stay! Lol.

I would never pay 9 million a year for a guard....no matter how good he is.

who said 9 million. 9 million is the cap number for all offensive linemen, which represents the average of the top 5 salaries at a position.

where did you get we have to pay Livitre 9 million?

here are the base salaries for the top 5 guards guards.

    joseph,9.5, Nix,6.5,Snee 5.3,Kuper,3.5, Igcognito,3.3

The Pats let good players go when they get old or want too much money - but then again, they almost always have a quality player ready to step up and take his place. The Bills don't have that luxury. Too many linemen get hurt too often, and when you have to rely on Sam Young as a starter (no offense to him) you're up a creek. They need Levitre on that line - I'd pay something over market value to keep him, then start desperately looking for more depth in the draft or FA.
