    Per bb.com

Morris will enter his 16th season in the NFL coaching ranks in 2013. He began his NFL coaching career in 1997 with San Francisco as the 49ers’ tight ends and assistant offensive line coach through 1998 before being elevated to offensive line coach for five years (1999-2003). Morris also oversaw the offensive lines of Detroit (2004-05), Minnesota (2006-10) and Tampa Bay (2011).

Morris has guided an offensive line that paved the way for a top 10 rushing offense nine times in his 15-year NFL coaching career, including three years as the league’s best (1998, 1999 and 2007). Morris’ offensive lines also blocked for a 1,000-yard rusher 11 times in his 15 seasons in the NFL.

Prior to entering the NFL coaching ranks, Morris spent 21 seasons on the college sideline with stops at Southern California, Northern Arizona, Minnesota, Michigan State and Stanford.

After a four-year playing career at Southern California from 1972-75, Morris joined the Trojan coaching staff as a graduate assistant from 1976-77.

I wanted Joe D but this is suitable to and every line he's coached has a road grader offensive line.

Wait..What!?! We aren't angry as a collective group? I have to put my pitchfork down? (end sarcasm) To all those saying cronyism on Marrone's previous hires, I'd ask you to look up how many coaches Harbaugh brought with him to San Fran from Stanford, the 49ers are playing in a pretty important game this week no? I'm all for whatever will make the head coach feel comfortable, ultimately Marrone will be the one judged, let him pick the people he's comfortable with. Yes I'm talking to you Jerry Sullivan, the real Jerry Sullivan not the poster on BBMB unless it is the real Jerry Sullivan then yes you.
