Don't draft a QB this year

& you forgot Aaron Murray! Those 3 are worth waiting on next season to draft our QB. We draft one of these prospects, our coaching staff will say..."oh we have our guy, & are not looking to draft another QB" or at least won't even try to trade up for one of them next year.

Didn't guys say to pass on Kaepernick & Wilson because Barkley would be coming out this year?

Time to bite the bullet.
Take a top 3 QB in the first round this draft and a top 3 round QB next.
We didn't know which QB (not named Luck or RGIII) was going to step up this season.
and neither you or I know which one will step up next season.
To say there is no QB worthy of our pick is rediculous.
If a Dalton/Ponder clone is the best this draft has to offer so be it.
I would rather he be in B-lo than have Fitz/Smith/Vick lead the Bills against him.

Exactly. I love how everyone thinks next year's draft will be SOOOO great, but this one sucks. Is it just me, or are those people banking on underclassmen declaring next year? Bridgewater and Manziel may not even declare. Then what? I am on record saying Manziel is overrated anyways. He's a little runt that has two amazing linemen. They both would have gone top 5 if Matthews declared. People bash Barkley (a legit quarterback) because he had good receivers. Yet Manziel gets a free pass? He's just the flavor of the month with a fun nickname. Bridgewater is the real deal, but he may go back to school or have a down year as well. Murray is good, but the same thing can happen to him. He can have a down year and people will say he shoud have come out this year. It's a crapshoot, but you have to take a qb when the cards fall in your favor. If Barkley or Smith is there at 8, I think they will bite.

I think five years from now, they will be viewed as the best qb's in this class. For me, anyone else would be a stop gag.

It will set us back because there is no good QB's this year. This franchise loves sticking around quarterbacks that's obviously are not going to do anything. From watching the senior bowl nassib sucks, I watched Barkley and Glennon and were not impressed. Get alex smith for a year or two and then get a QB when the time is right.

I think what we should do is follow the BPA strategy, had the Bills been doing this for the last 10+ years our drafts would have looked a lot better. Drafting for need makes fans happy in the short term but ruins your team in the long run.

These days, unless you're lucky enough to draft #1 in a year when an Andrew Luck is available, going BPA means you don't draft a QB. Seriously, a QB will NEVER be the BPA because some other team will draft them way before they get close to that. If we draft BPA, it'll mean Fitz forever, or Alex Smith with nobody behind him but maybe Tarvaris and a UDFA.

this is exactly what i've been saying. It's not fair to compare this class with last year's. i still think there could be at least two guys that will come out of this year's class that will be franchise quarterbacks. in fact, if matt barkley came out last year, he would have been a top ten pick. Maybe top 5.
