A couple of them may hop on it early in the 2nd, including the Jets which draft before us in the 2nd.

We may end up getting lucky, two years in a row.
The value in this draft at the QB position is in round 2.

I think anyone who waits and sticks to their board is going to be very happy with the way the draft unfolds at that position.

I agree with jrober. There is no way Arizona takes a quarterback. Just no way. They will take the best lineman available and roll the dice another year with Kolb or add a qb in FA.

They'd be pretty dumb if they do.

Having just lost the Super Bowl, they'd probably be a lot better off getting someone who will help them get over the hump.

they now have no backup QB, and Manual is the only one in this draft thats able to run that offense like Kap, not so far fetched

You don't draft long term backup QBs with the 33rd pick in the draft.

If they want a developmental backup, they can look for a guy like Matt Scott in round 4 or 5.

You're grossly overvaluing how much NFL teams worry about who their backup QB is.

all I'm saying is don't be shocked if that happens, they have 11 or 12 draft picks and not a lot of holes to fill

I disagree, I think they will either package the pick to move higher in the first or become the Patriots of the west and find ways to continue to stock pile picks for future drafts.

Lets say Geno goes to the Cards in the first and Buffalo feels like they can wait on Barkley now, they will be very interested in getting that newly acquired pick by the 49ers to get the jump on the run of QBs in the second.

Love it. He doesn't have to run as much as kapernick or russel to be effective, just the thought that he is capable of taking off will scare defenses more than fitz...

If Kaepernick were to get injured, Matt Scott would not take over the team like Manuel would.

Although it did cost Jerry Angelo his job in Chicago, and helped doom Polian in Indy.

If Kaepernick gets injured, the 49ers season would be over.

Same would probably go for 30 other teams in the league...

I was just saying that they have a better shot with Manuel than Matt Scott...
